So in other words you do wing chun. I don’t claim to do Aikido and Systema because I work out with practitioners of those arts on the weekend, nor do I claim to do wing chun because I took a couple classes once. Claiming you “do MMA” because you practice it on weekends is like saying you’re a member of the Hell’s Angels because you own a Harley and some boots.

It might not count for much, but it counts for something. Mostly bad habits, hence why I ended up reverting to most of them under MMA stress. I don’t spar MMA at my school because that is reserved for the professionals, so I was in that fight having to mix it all on the fly.
I make no excuses for my performance. On the other hand, everyone is forgetting the numerous conflicting stories and torrent of excuses surrounding Djimbe’s gassing in the guard of a man half his size.
