Years ago when I first found this site I thought it was the best thing ever. It seemed so cool. It was no holds barred, no punchs pulled. It made me seek out the original ufcs from my video stores Special Interest section and watch them religously. I spent all summer here even though I kept getting dumped on because I was knew. I was all but done with traditional martial arts.

But then something happened:I grew up and realized this sites ideals is just as much bullshit as the instructors you think youre “investigating.” mma is NOT the be-all end-all of fighting. Three are three types of martial arts schools:

Self-defense schools: These schools teach modern practical methods of self defense Krav or military styles.

Traditional schools: I used to hate these schools when I was a kid because they were boring but I then I grew up and realized these disciplines were the most time tested and respectful. Training in preying mantis has made me a better PERSON as well as fighter.
MMA schools: These teach students to fight for sport.

Notice that MMA is only ONe type of school. There’s nothing wrong with fighting for sport but mma people like you always seem to have a pissy attitude about it. Just look at how arrogant the Gracie’s were and how stupid they looked when people started calling them out for cherrypicking Royces opponents. This isn’t what martial arts were orignally intended to be. They were supposed to be about comradrie, and I’m old enough now to know this site is shitting all overr that .

I’m a senior member here ow and an assaistant instructor in praying mantis. Now that I have a car I’m willing to travel anyware in the tri-state area to prove what I say.

Here are my rules:

  • BAREKNUCKLES ONLY. Or small MMA gloves if you want.

  • No throwing opponent at of ring (If we have a ring, otherwise its not a problem)

  • Any uniform you want except armor.

  • No hits to the head but groin strikes and biting are allowed. Eye strikes are pointless because I wear glasses so I’ll respect your handicap and not do the same.

Is that all right with everyone? I’ll travel anywhere, Ill even fight you in the freezing Jersey Shore lol.
