Custom Aluminum TURBINE Shotgun Slugs

Just saw this and man do they look cool.
Not sure if their is really a practical use for them though.

Being lighter than lead, aluminium might be a way to reduce recoil on shotgun slugs? I’m also genuinely curious as to why most rifled slugs I’ve seen have been round nosed; I understand that round-nosed projectiles are the only practical way to cycle rounds in some magazines, but isn’t most of the 2 3/4" shell unoccupied anyhow? That should be room enough to fit something sizeable, or do some kind of rifled-sabot-slug.

While I am interested in the concept of an aluminum slug, I think I’ll wait until they figure out how to keep it from keyholing.
