Hey guys, anyone interested in an Orlando area throwdown? I would be up for hosting. I instruct wrestling at my university’s HEMA club and would love to get some guys interested in coming out and training with us and doing some friendly rolling and sparring.

Unfortunately I don’t have a car here in Orlando so I don’t.
I have heard that the Jungle is a good place to train at, and if I could I’d be over at Mike Bell’s or Bobby Dixon’s place training as well.
I’m from Cocoa and trained and fought there and Melbourne. I trained with Phil Collins and Donnie Hair for a few years (still train with and keep in contact with Phil), trained a little with Dave Diquollo in Merritt Island (a month or two), and with Dan Webster in Cocoa Beach. I used to roll regularly with my wrestling coach from high school and some local (Cocoa) guys who trained at BTT but that died down after a few years unfortunately.
I started at UCF this past Fall so I’ve been training on my own and working out with the HEMA club on campus because they fit my schedule. I just started instructing “Ringen” this semester for them.
Back in town if anyone is interested in a friendly get together. I’ll be running a Ringen practice Friday afternoons at the UCF HEMA club.
I’m interested but my schedule is pretty busy and I’m west of Orlando in Clermont. I’ve been wanting to check out some hema for a while too. What days do you guys train?
Usually Tuesday, Wednesday (longsword, usually taught by one of the other instructors who has a lot more HEMA experience), and Friday (wrestling, or whatever I feel like teaching).
We primarily train German longsword under the Meyer manual, and are part of the Meyer Freifechter guild. But there are other people who are interested in other weapons including sword and buckler, dagger, and I’m working on the Montante.
Back in town for anyone interested in training meetups. Only available for afternoon due to being in a language program, but I’m still instructing on Fridays for our HEMA club on campus at UCF.
