Cans and the National Firearms Act

Local indoor range posted this video on their site. Good overall history of the period, people (politicians, gangsters (they’re the same), etc.) and events that led to the law passed on suppressors and full auto arms ownership by the general public.

I watched this video last week or thereabouts. Very nicely done, lots of facts and stuff. Worthwhile to watch, for sure.

Lucas is a certified larper and a member of a fucking cult. Also speeds up his videos and is a very average shooter when you consider the number of rounds he puts down range. And his holsters suck.

Suppressors are awesome and make all day shooting less exhausting. I dunno what the medical term is but even with doubled up earpro the jarring blast from an unsuppressed rifle can be fatiguing after awhile. Especially indoors. A can gets rid of all that and makes shooting even high power rifles about as exhausting as a .22 to shoot. Still recommend at least one layer of earpro when not shooting subsonic rounds in a quiet action, but the difference is really noticeable. Not nearly as worn out and noise sensitive at the end of the day.
