Hilarious…a university is buying ballistic whiteboards. I hope it’s NIJ level 4 seeing as it’s a solid 4 pound thing.
Of course the idea of holding a whiteboard in front of yourself to try and block incoming fire is kind of a sad idea. The least they could do is have the whiteboard be in the same dimensions as a ballistic shield and have some straps on the back so you can hold it without exposing your arms to fire.
Why do all this but not simply allow personal firearms on campus? What good is the armored whiteboard if the person can’t return fire?

Oh well I suppose I won’t go and murder my professor and classmates because I am not allowed to bring my gun on campus…
I thought the point of the boards was to place them in front of the doors so a gunman couldn’t shoot into a classroom.

Agreed, but my guess is the white-boards are cheaper and some are probably donated.
