Since we have had a bad rash of truely the suck videos from certain skinny teens doing badly on video, Perhaps the fist is not the best icon for the situation.
What I suggest is that the avatar get a video cam icon 
instead. At least it will denote that there was at least a video of said person in action. It may not be fist worthy but it gives cred for showing something.
And maybe it will inspire hedge to show his video once and for all.
