I’m a bit of an airgun enthusiast.
Anybody else interested in hunting caliber airguns?
Or airgun shooting?
Anybody have any experience with servicing the seals or tuning the PCP airguns?
I just slaughtered 10 ducks by shooting them in the head with a cheap Daisy .177 cal pellet gun.

Smoked Duck on the menu? One of my favorites.
(I don’t ask about other things that are none of my business).

I think Kano would approve.

maximum efficiency for sure. not sure about mutual benefit to the ducks though.
to the OP question, i live in NYC so i think a air guns are illegal to use (you can’t buy them here.) i have an airsoft which isn’t really the same thing (and which is also iffy here, something i found out after buying one.)

Yeah, that’s a bummer.
NYC and the entire state of New Jersey has some fairly irritating gun laws.
I love airsoft replicas for convenient pistol training.
And, I tend to start all people who want to learn how to shoot,
but lack gun safety experience, using airsoft replicas,
while we all wear eye protection, rather than starting them on actual firearms.
I don’t want to end up a youtube video while introducing someone to shooting and gun safety.

We had liver and heart sauteed with onions and garlic, with a splash of red wine, over Bhutanese Red Rice.
We will have the breast tonight. These are Muscovy Ducks, so they are good and meaty. Not sure if I will smoke it or not. We are getting ready to vacuum pack the meat now. It’s been cooling overnight in a ice chest packed with snow. That is, after I finish my coffee and relax a bit longer, LOL !

He might even like the duck…

Well, the ducks got to live free range in a big yard, fed and watered twice a day all summer, and all fall (we were too busy big game hunting to bother slaughtering them). Seems like a fair trade to me.
We have one drake and 9 or 10 hens left. Looking forward to fresh eggs again. They started laying in March last year.
As for the OP I have an air rifle I use to keep mongoose and pest birds at bay.
$200-300 gets you over 1000fps nowadays.
I’ve been using these fancy pellets, not sure if they make a difference but they look awesome!
I do use ours (I got 3 on sale/closeout from Midway USA) to run off cats, shoot pigeons (delicious!) and Ring Necked Doves (also delicious and an invasive species). My two boys hunt Columbine Ground Squirrels with theirs, although they seem to prefer using their bows lately. 10 pumps max seems to be adequate for those purposes.
I am considering permanently affixing a nightscope onto a .25 caliber benjamin marauder PCP.
I tend to wake up sometime between 4am to 5am every morning whether I want to or not.
Would give me something to do besides laying there with my eyes open,
or wasting more time on Facebook before starting my day.
