Just kidding, we know the US portion of the Internet eats that jingoistic crap up, but Bullshido isn’t in the clickbait business.
Anyway, US Airman Spencer Stone is a blue belt that trains with Team Gracie Lisbon, where he is stationed. He and two other servicemen were on a train in France when they became aware of a man with an AK-47. Without fanfare, they sprang into action.
”Spencer got to the guy first and grabbed the guy by the neck,” Mr Skarlatos told Sky News.
“I grabbed the handgun, got that away from the guy and threw it. Then I grabbed the AK-47, which was at his feet, and started muzzle-bumping him in the head with it.
“Everybody just started beating the guy while Spencer held the chokehold until he went unconscious."
I can think of few situations where the act of “muzzle bumping” is legit.
In this story choices were made. Choices I see nothing wrong with. Choices a clear thinking primate would make. Muzzle bumping a terrorist on a high speed train with his own weapon is clearly a sane use of force. Maybe not the best tactical choice … I mean I wasn’t there I will not attempt to judge it tactically, it might be legit, I don’t know.
But morally, it’s totally within reasonable and appropriate. Even if he was being muzzle bumped and neck snuggled at the same time.
This story is a good contrast with other unfortunate BJJ instructor story…and a happy ending to say the least. These guys signed up to risk their lives every day so to them this is a welcome part of their job, the smiles show it.
The world needs more counter-terror heroes.
Your wallets? Probably not worth it busting out your skills, especially if you have kids to get home to.
A guy on a train with an AK-47 probably wants more than your wallet…go for it imho. Roll.
BJJ muzzle bumps terrorist.
BJJ works well with friends.
BJJ works in small spaces.
BJJ works against single heavily armed attacker : Rifle, Pistol, Box Cutter.
They did really well and you should be proud of their actions: “Let’s Roll!” springs to Mind - United 73 if I recall correctly. I also liked the tie-up, the only thing missing was smearing him in bacon fat…
His father ‘can’t understand it. He’s a good boy’, he is reported as having said from his home in Spain. Notice that he’s chosen to move from Morocco…so how bad can Christian Europe be?
The failed jihadist has reported that he found the AK47 and 8 mags (loaded) under some bushes in a park in Belgium…So, not even an honest or brave jihadist either. Don’t let the door hit you in the arse as you enter your cell…knobber.
