Fighting a judoka on the ground is like fighting a crosstrained BJJ/wrestler. :laughing6
One basic pass that I have learned is from I think Bjj calls it guard… :happy3:
In no-points sub matches the guard is more of a defensive position. :icon_sile
two words…“smash pass”…you dont need but one if you master this technique :dodgy:
Sometimes we do a little bit of randori where pins count equal to subs as match enders (BJJ guys NEVER do this). :5hypnodis
Try driving your elbow into the inside of their upper thigh. :eusa_snoo
Judo = mostly relaxed with small element of formality. :5grouphug
BJJ = mostly relaxed, with small undercurrent of 'I can kick your ass, b*tch!":5wolverin
Judo = many different training directions to follow: not everyone seeks to be uber-ass kicking machine :XXhippylo
BJJ = by and large, an art for ‘angry, young people’ looking to kick ass / prove themselves. Everyone seems friendly, but it’s more an uneasy detente than true camaraderie. :XXbirdman
I’m new here but I’d recommend and Eastern style of Jujitsu over BJJ… College vs. trade school. if you know what I mean. :glasses11
Yes, but judoka aren’t a bunch of fags who love rolling naked with each other.
Case dismissed.
Post whore.
EDIT: I know it doesn’t add to your post count in here, but you’re still a post whore.
Hey, if BJJ is so great, you should let the UFC and Pride fighters know. They’d appreciate the tip from such a world class athlete.
"Knock, Knock, "
Judo:“who’s there?”
“Guard”
Judo: “whats a Guard?”
JUDO n’t know JUDO like the JUDOka know JUDO!
Ban Assopian all his posts go to the trolls.
Well at least demote him.
The difference between you and me is that I start these threads here in the first place , while yours get banished.
That, and your stinky vagina.
<blink>Oh yes.</blink>
Eh? I learnt the guard on my second lesson in judo.
