YMS - Yang Mian System, BS?

…had you included anything indicative of this in them.
And your systems pseudoscience is more plausible I suppose?
Never said it was, I was pointing out his post is irrelevant, you fuckn moron.

Hmm… why did you think I’ve posted those 2 websites?, you fuckn moron.

Why would the blood stop circulating through the body just because you forced more blood to move into your hands? Its not a blood clot is it? you fuckn moron.

Appears, yes. you fuckn moron

what the fuck are you talking about you fuckn moron.

Significant and insignificant is relative to what it is compared to. It was to show that adding abit of weight to something means you can throw it faster and further than if you did not (obviously there are limitations). What Kuma was talking about is the mass and velocity of the punch, the increase mass in the punch is insignificant in terms of mass, but because of the increased mass it makes it easier to throw - as in my example of the balloons.
you fuckn moron.

‘rebound’ - contract… same fuckn shit different fuckn smell.
Yes, I know they ‘stretch’ when the opposiing muscles contract, it does not make my statement any less true. Human tissues, including muscles behavior like springs and have elastic properties. If you do not know this then do some reading.
You fuckn moron.
Fixed that for you mate.
Good work. You fuckn moron.

Hopefully the emphasis that I’ve placed in that posting has been taken and understood.

Read my posts on the first page.
Next time you dissect my post, make sure you know what you are talking about… hmm ok one more for the road… you fuckn moron.

Bdang, we all had such high hopes for you when this thread started. Then it went down the same slippery slope you seem to love so well.

You began by asking people’s opinion on the style you practice. The way you asked suggested that you suspected some bullshittery was afoot. When people informed you that this was indeed the case, you commenced to advance idiocy after idiocy (muscles are like springs?) to defend a style that you placed under scrutiny in the first place.

Here’s an idea bdang, consider boxing. Professional boxers livelihoods depend on them being able to punch better than their opponents. If there is something that will give them an edge in power - even a slight one - they will be on it in a second. Do boxers use this training technique little troll? No? I wonder why? Maybe because it’s BULLSHIT!

This was pointed out gently, then directly, then finally (let’s be honest) abusively. All the while you kept your fingers in your ears singing “LA LA LA!” If someone didn’t want to listen to the opinions of others, they would have to be a “fuckin moron” to ask for them.

So if I follow this correctly, bdang believes that…

 1. Blood vessels are kind of like stainless steel tanks where you can increase their pressure and not their volume.
 2. Blood, a liquid, must therefore be compressible.
 3. People who engage in weight training are prone to becoming musclebound and lose flexibility (a common CMA myth).
 4. You swell after a bee sting because the volume of bee venom from the sting has been added to your body, hence increasing its volume (violating premise 1 maybe?).
 5. His martial art permits effective heavy bag training without callus formation.
 6. I’m not sure on this one, but I think he believes that one can turn Type I muscle fibers into Type II.

Bdang, I submit to you the following:

 1. No. Blood vessels are kinda stretchy. This is not really a Good Thing for you.
 2. No. You can’t compress blood. Either your hands are getting bigger or their blood flow isn’t increasing. No third option.
 3. No. Learn some exercise physiology from the 20th century or later.
 4. No. It’s fluid from your own body, mate. That’s why you swell from injuries where venom is NOT injected into you.
 5. No. I suspect your bag training is intermittent or your intensity is low. You aren’t hitting the bag worth a damn if your hands are still pretty.
 6. No. Myoblasts differentiate before birth.

Did I miss anything in this recap?

We? Who are you speaking on behalf of? - the entire board? the population? the staff?

My suspect was in its self defense applications - as I have stated previously. Idiocy after idiocy? Who is the real idiot? I’ve corrected you on every single section of your last post. Then you come back with a “idiocy after idiocy”. And yes, muscles are like springs and have elastic properties, if you don’t know that then do some research before you call it idiotic. Actually, let me teach you - heres a link to Dave Thompson’s website, he teaches at the University of Oklahoma in the department of biostatics and epidemiology.

http://moon.ouhsc.edu/dthompso/

Click on the Kinesiology, emphasizing biomechanics and exercise science link - then READ. If he saids muscles are like spring and have elastic properties, I’m going to believe him over you, I mean - he’s an assistant professor, what qualifications do you have?

I can’t really say whether boxers train in this technique or not, I can’t really tell you the reason why they don’t either, theres alot of boxers out there and I haven’t really had a chance to catch up with any of the top boxers lately. But maybe its coz they saw some guy do it and say, its bullshit! or maybe coz they’ve never seen it before, or maybe they figured - well my training methods been working well, why change it. Or maybe because their coach saids not to… or maybe…
Also did you know Manny Pacquiao’s training consisted of getting smacked by a stick all over his body? - Do boxers do that??

Besides, this thread was originally about self defense using this type of martial arts and I concluded that it was probably not good in my previous posts. Then it stemmed away from this original topic into personal insults and moronic postings by various members of the board.

Of course I listen to opinions - but if my argument shows their opinion is not true then I’d be a fuckn moron to listen.

No, you pretty much covered it.

All of the people who took you seriously for a second.

Also did you know Manny Pacquiao’s training consisted of getting smacked by a stick all over his body? - Do boxers do that??

Wish you would. Have them pay particular attention to your head and groin.

If you say so. Do you advocate the pants-down, arse-forward rape defence as well?

Then it stemmed away from this original topic into personal insults and moronic postings by various members of the board.

Well, you started it. Tell your mum or something.

Bdang, calling someone a moron, putting your fingers in your ears and singing la-la-la, is not the same as correcting their post.

tl;dr

Nicko1 speaks for me.

Mostly arbitrarily decided, partly because I don’t like bdang on a personal level. We went to school you see, He knows me quite well.

Bdang…

…Look behind you.

I read the articles you indicated.

You either didn’t read them, or didn’t understand them, and there was nothing in them that countered anything anybody here has said but you.

Read MrGalt’s post again. He explains things better than I do.

STFU, GTFO, DIAF, KYWB.

fuckn moron.

^^^This^^^

bdang, you seem to read things and then make your own conclusions based on what you already believe.

Notice how I am still being relatively nice, I told you to tone it down a while back, but you didn’t listen.

Now, you say some assistant professor has said tissue is like springs, understand this, he would probably NEVER recommend the exercise you are talking about and here is why:

Older reformed meth addicts have blood pressure problems because their blood vessels elasticity has weakened. Many ex- gymnasts have back problems because they “elongated” the “spring” in their back muscles (and connective tissue) when they were younger, the elasticity of their youth gone, leaving their once strong and flexible spinal column flimsy. More anecdotal evidence is available in your local retirement home, ever wondered why old people have wrinkled skin?

What I am saying is it is not a sustainable endeavour.

bdang, calling people “fuckn morons” when they are offering what is ultimately the best advice for you is stupid and you will be hammered at every opportunity. Your martial art sucks. Deal with it.

 1. Where did I say that
 2. Where did I say that
 3. Where did I say that
 4. It swells from the toxins injected, not just from the volume
 5. Correct
 6. No, I never said that either. I know they are differentiated at birth.

I don’t see what the problem is

Move on people. Nothing to see here. If bdang wants to live in his fantasy land where fluid build up in his brain, I mean his hands, assists in helping him hit harder and won’t take advice to the contrary, I believe we should let him.

bdang, I hope you never have to find out how ridiculous your martial art is as it sounds to us in a real life confrontation. Just take heart that it should be all over very quickly.

Sexy Boy is a troll, possibly bdangs alter ego.

The only thing I wanted to point out from the articles is that muscles are elastic - meaning they do more than just “work in one direction”. Yes, their main function is contracting, but theres more to the muscles than just contracting.
Here I’ll make it very easy for you:
http://moon.ouhsc.edu/dthompso/namics/pasfor.htm

Heres some replies to your previous post which you ignored so I’ll re-itterate them for you:

You know those big bulging muscles on weight lifters? - guess what, they’re made up of both fast and slow twitch fibers, thats what muscles are made up of amongst other things.

No - I haven’t seen any “bursting capillary walls on impact, leading to hemorrhage and edema a big fucking purple hand so swollen you couldn’t even make a fist” at training - ever. Are you imagining someone rotating their hands so fast that their hands will double its size and then they get a hemorrhage and it becomes soft like a water balloon… is this what you are imagining?

Your hands don’t become “soft, energy-dissipating fluid” just because you’ve pumped a bit of blood into them - they actually become much harder.

Also, yes you can strengthen your joints and tendons, so guess what
you can a: wear them down or b: preserve them OR C: Strengthen them. Check out the websites I posted in my earlier reply or you can watch ‘grapplers toolbox’ by scott sonnon, I know everyone loves opinions from experts. I would believe Scott Sonnon over you anyday.

fuckn moron is right.

He see’s the logic and commonsense that so many people who replied to this thread lack.

I’m only calling people a moron if they really are.
I’m hardly putting my fingers in my ears, I’ve listened and have argued - this is not putting my fingers in my ears.
