Where does your WC family tree begin. I guess for most of you WC practitionners it with Wing chun->…-> Yip Man.
But i’m more interrested in other lineages, the ones that doesn’t involve Yip Man. Like my WC family tree don’t have Yip Man in it. It is a Vietnamese lineage. ( www.shaolinwingchun.com )
It will be cool if you can post a link to your school’s site to.
Ok. I don’t want to know if WC is effective or not, I don’t want to know if your sifu is good or not or my lineage is the true one any other unrelated crap, thank you. I guess that is already done many times in other threads. :5headache
Between Ip Man and Leung Ting, you need to add a cook, a barber, his hairdresser, some guy he spoke to once, another guy who once saw a picture of Bruce Lee in a magazine, and his neighbour. Then Leung Ting, etc. etc.
Of course, because you were obviously such an intricate part of the lineage between Yip Man and Leung Ting, that you saw everyone he trained, including the cook and barber.
Or maybe it’s just A) your inherited opinion based on someone elses opinion, based on someone elses opinion, etc…
or B) you read it in another thread and now your going to try to influence others that it is the truth.
So…you’re acting like the lineage actually matters. For anything. At all. And it’s just not a sad bullshit marketing ploy used by people who want to make a buck off of the overly romantic.
Not only do other styles claim Ng Mui as their founders aswell but she is regarded as a MYTHICAL founder, not a known, proved founder. You can find heaps of articles on not only the true origins of Wing Chun but also how the myth of Ng Mui came about.
