I remember when MMA used to be full of guys wearing tight little hot pants, now everyone seems to be wearing the baggy surfer type shorts. Is this the end of hot pants in MMA?

See the difference in shorts, I have noticed that pretty much no one wears the hot pants anymore, just wondering if you think that this is the end for the hot pants or if the hot pants and baggy shorts will both be used? 
maybe they train in normal shorts and prefer to fight like they train
