Hm Tai Chi in a cage… Well, a piece of shit on a plate is still a piece of shit.

hehe can’t polish a turd huh?

No they did not polish it. They just put it on a plate /cage/ and say well it’s more appealing and realistic now. It’s not better /polished/.

Stay tuned for next week where we do Tai Chi in a pool filled with jello!

Deep breathing should be a lil’ harder, but the green jiggly jelly will appeal to the kids. Say good night, Bob!

Why do I get the strong feeling that If they had taken the exact same throw, but called it “Judo in a Cage” instead of “Tai Chi in a Cage”, we’d get a lot more “OMG JUDPWNAGE JUDO IS BEST MARTIAL ART NO ONE USE ENOUGH THIS ARE AMAZING” and less “THIS SUX TAICHI SUX.”
Seriously guys. I know there’s a Bullshido member stereotype to live up to, but could ya try to tone it down a little?

I personally wouldn’t act like that at all. If it were Karo and he was showing us a throw I’d go “cool” but I’d go “OMG JUDO PWNAGE” if it were in a cage FIGHT against a resisting opponent.

Well for one Judo isnt’ BS. I did tai chi for a while and I know it’s stupid and useless and there is no sence in hiding grapeling moves if you want to teach it. If a judo guy did that throw in that clip we’d call BS on him if it looks that bad…

That’s a surprise

You guys are funny. You really have no clue at all what is going on.

I am still reading the thread. Let’s see if someone explains why the hands are out.

That’s because they are smarter than you.

They are not 20 year old smart asses, from a country that only came into existence 200 years ago, talking shit about the inventions of a country and people that have been around for 2 or 3000 years.

Why is Tai Chi stupid and useless? Because it did not give you immediate results in 2 months?

It will take anyone 3 years of Tai Chi before they might begin to understand what it is about. If they are doing Tai Chi wrong, or if they live a bad kind of lifestyle, even 3 years is not enough. It might take 5 or 10 years to figure out what Tai Chi is doing to you.

While its great that you two nut ride and love to hear each other circle jerk on who has “t3h r34l” Tai Chi, how about you limit your posting to helpful informative statements, instead of the non-explanatory self-congratulating douche-baggery that seems to run rampant around those who practice CMA and typically don’t know how to fight a lick, aside from verbally on the interwebz. Otherwise shut the fuck up.

My mouth almost fell open. Someone here has a brain!

You figure out the answer to your question and you will be on your way to real kung fu.

You aren’t helping the cause for Taiji.

Sadly, that person isn’t you. Read my last post, cockmonkey.

You must be kidding? I have been here for a month or two, and everyone has posted nasty derogatory shitty comments about everything I have said.

So I learn how people talk here and start talking to them in their own language, and they are unhappy.

I think that is called hypocrisy. Might wanna check the dictionary.

PS. I will not argue with you about the fighting stuff. If you put a fighter and a Tai Chi in the cage, the fighter will probably win. Fighters use rules. Tai Chi guys don’t.

For a dose of reality you MMA fighters, did you see that UFC, I think it was recently, where some guy poked another guy in the eye? The guy that got eye poked practically did a backwards flip to get the finger out of his eye, and the fight was cancelled.

If a person is in a real fight, I think a poke in the eye that stops the fight in second is much better than an MMA guy that has to punch the guy, kick the guy, take him to the ground, then submit him. How long did all that MMA stuff take? 30 seconds? 1 minute?

An eye poke takes 5 seconds. Tai Chi guy will cripple you for life.

Don’t start stupid fights where you think everyone plays by the rules for your cage.

I told you before. Its not helping, now please stop.

Lurk more post less. People only bring out the harsh language (mostly) when it’s warranted by idiotic statements like those above.

I yawn at your “eye gouge” argument, since it’s the exact same one ninjers have been making for years. To say an MMA fighter wouldn’t gouge or grab nuts in a real fight is simply retarded. Eye pokes and nut kicks take little training in comparison to ground fighting and kickboxing. As Renzo said in one of his books, the difference is the MMA fighter will eye gouge you from dominant position where you can’t fight back.

Also, if you think eye gouges are 1) crippling and 2) crippling for life, you’ve never been in a fight, and you’ve never performed them. The MMA match you are talking about is a sport yes, so when someone gains advantage illegally, they stop the fight because it isn’t a fight to the death. That doesn’t mean you can stop me or anyone else who trains sport fighting in here with a poke to the eye. And i’ve been grabbed in the nuts in a fight. Yeah it hurts, but only after. It pissed me off and made me fight harder.

Again, post things that are explanatory and helpful. If you want to hug your tits to a bunch of other CMAers, do it in the CMA forum, otherwise SHUT THE FUCK UP.

That’s a surprise[/quote]Would you care to explain then?
