I think if a white fighter were hurt, the ref would have let it go on for a bit longer. I think Kimbo has faced lots of bigotry and discrimination in his career and it’s time for an affirmative independent investigation of the athletic commissions.

They should have stood that fight up because Thompson had him down for like 3 minutes and was brutally owning him. Look how quickly they let Arlovski up. They didn’t do the same for Kimbo even though he really needed it. Notice that Arlovski is white and Kimbo is black. 2+2=4

Fights are stood up because people want to see competitive slugfests, not humping. A little wrestling is ok but Thompson really took it too far and needed to get the fight back on his feet.

It’s also to simulate the fact that wrestling in real fights, on the streets, is always an uncertain decision, due to the presence of possible assistants. Being forced to fight back on your feet is simply realistic.

Kimbo lost because he was black and had no ground game. PC rules would have his opponent stand still and hold his head high. Not much standup either.
