uhhh you DON’T know a lot of submissions. The rear naked is sometimes called a sleeper hold by morons.
You apply it from behind the opponent, the forearm and bicep of the choking arm lay along either side of the neck. Like a nutcracker. The choking arm hand grasp the bicep of the supporting arm. The supporting arm hand pushes the head into the bicep of the choking arm. Apply pressure and you win.

Uhh yeah I do know alot of submission moves fisting kittens I just didn’t know that one. Not that many people refer to it that much you dickhead.

If by not many people, you mean that everyone in the world. The RNC is up there with the armbar in the category of techniques that EVERYONE knows including my kid sister. Its definately one of the top 5 most applied submissions. It was taught my first class in BJJ, and my third class in Judo.

He may just mean he hasn’t heard it referred to as the ‘rear NAKED choke’ before.

RN is a fairly standard choke hold and variations of it are taught in many different arts. As someone else mentioned chances are you know some kind of varation on it and simply havent heard it called by that name before.

Osiris I don’t even really think of the names of the moves I’m about to apply I just do them as quickly as I can and don’t bother with silly shit like names. I mean its good to know move names but you don’t really need to think about them in the ring or for demos.
Listen I am trying to be a mature person and just have a reasonable discussion about this topic and you just keep on trying to insult me. I know I have studied martial arts for 6 years and I know that I know alot of submission moves and how to apply them and you aren’t going to change that with your insults.
