I have been doing some research on the net and keep running into these Kung fu training videos. Can you really learn a martial art from a video? If so will it actually be effective when you try to use it? These people have to actually be making some money at it or there wouldn’t be such a vast supply of videos for sale out there. Also how could you tell if a teacher of a certain school didn’t learn from some video and now he is charging you X amount of dollars a month to learn what he did off a dime store video for pennies on the dollar?

If videos are the most important part of your training, absolutely not.
First, just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s worthwhile. Also, they can be worthwhile additions to valid training with a real live instructor. But it is by no means a replacement.

What may I ask did I do to you? Did not mean to upset anyone just have seen alot of Kung Fu how to vids on thew net and thought they were more than likely just after your money.
