The level of drama has not reached the critical density.

Not sure. I think he requested to be banned. He’s been at odds with the staff for quite a while. I honestly don’t know what he was still doing here in the first place. I’ll find out the details of that matter when Phrost logs back on.
I just read the entire deal with Ronin and Aeso. Aeso’s an ass, Ronin over reacted and now it seems like good bullshido-ka are getting banned in the crossfire.
We finally have a good TMA base at bullshido. Even our throwdown includes as many TMA as MMA fighters (what other throwdown crew this large can say that!). Now I see Ronin (TMA) leave and Mav(TMA) banned, and Aeso (MMA) gets his own sub-forum.

The point is though is that Mav got banned for shit that is no where near as bad as others have been able to get away with in the past. Bullshido used to be cool cuz the idiots got to act like idiots, and everyone could just put them on ignore. It was when they posted racist posts or things of an equally offensive nature that they got banned. Arguing over techinical terminology shouldn’t be a banning offense, especially given Mav’s background in Gaijin-ryu.

BNH also known as Hermey had the ability to be a much higher quality staff member than a lot of people. To bad he couldn’t tolerate the BS.
He sucked as a staff member. Terribly. Evven when I’m being an asshole, I can shut up long enough to make a coherent, meaningful point. BNH couldn’t do so, flaming randomly and being needlessly hostile with no overall point.

The difference between Mav and any other ban is that Mav was specifically told by the site OWNER to shut the fuck up. He refused to do so, dumbing down the discourse. Pissing off Phrost will get you in trouble.
This is the one part about the whole thing I don’t get. When Phrost told him to stop posting like a dumbass or get banned, Maverick apologized and said he certainly didn’t want to be banned. This was later edited. Then Maverick was banned.

Maverick failed to heed the forum description and derailed two pages of discussion because he wanted to be spoon-fed basic terminology in a moderated forum that’s specifically for only those who know what they’re talking about to a basic extent.
It was a 10 day probation for a fuck-up, that’s it. If it had been someone like Janggoon or The MMA Kid, nobody would have cared if we’d banned his entire ISP and mailed him anthrax. Move on, stop drama whoring.
