I was baffled by this, bc Marquardt consistently performs at a high level. I was thinking steroids or prohormones bc of all the recent controversy, but everything else seems just as plausible since there is a lack of information.
It’s the 26th, actually.
Barry via leg kick murder.
Howard due to having a concrete block for a head.
Morecraft has been working his standup with my muay thai coach, so I guess I’m pulling for him. He’s also cornering for Morecraft so I’m planning on geeking out extra hard if I see him on TV.
Barry gonna smash him. Next heavyweight champ!

Also, would Dana White fire somebody for contacting a possibly life-threatening disease?!
IN THIS WAY?!
Depends. If Marquardt knew he was sick and tried to hide it that would piss a lot of people off, especially former opponents.
Dude, I just saw that Kongo has a BEARD. That means he can’t lose.

It’s official.
On topic: fucks sake I hope it’s pot so Joe Rogan gets so mad he roasts Dana.
who are these cunts booing? every time someone clinches or the fight goes to the ground, all i can hear is constant booing. i know it happens to some degree at every MMA event, but for some reason i’m noticing it more this time.
I think it’s Pittsburgh, unfortunately. The refs don’t seem to be too awesome tonight, either.
oh god they just got stood up while story was going for a submission!!!
In other news: Holy Shit main event! Good heavyweight fights tonight.
feel bad for pat. that was insane.
Stand ups while people work for subs? BJJ doesn’t work in the ring!
I was furious when he stood them up. He didn’t bother standing them up when Brenneman was laying there in his guard! That ref was awful, even the way he talked to them at the beginning of the match sounded unusual.

Only saw the prelims, was it the tall one with the shitty haircut?

It was an older gentleman with blonde(ish) hair. I had never seen him before. Instead of the typical “Ok guys, touch gloves” , he went into a speech “Ok guys, now would be a really good time to touch gloves if you want to…” and then proceeded to explain how much he loves looking at male genitalia…I may have added that last part.

They were booing the ref: The blatant illegal knee that the ref completely overlooked in the Lentz-Oliviera fight in the prelims… That ref was back for another fight later and the crowd booed him. Also the general crappy calls by the refs this evening.
I have to say in addition to my above comment that I thought in the Congo-Barry fight that the ref did a good job of not stopping it when Congo was scrambling and rolling, as even though he was defending and moving a lot of refs would stop the fight early because of how he got put on his back.

regarding marquardt, it can’t be drugs or disease if the above is true. It was something that he could and still can remedy. I guess he was cut for letting the UFC down in this way. It says Marquardt will make public what the issue is in a press conference on tuesday.
HOLY SHIT!!:OpenMouth:
The Kongo V Barry fight was awesome. That’s why I love both those guys! one dimensional maybe but truely entertaining.
Well that explains everything.
Could it be that he just didn’t turn his medicals in on time? That would be extremely irritating to a promoter, and irresponsible of a fighter and his management. Fits pretty nicely with what Dana White has been saying.
