Tommygun Tommygun sitting in a tree not R-E-A-D-I-N-G.

First off the teacher is always more important than the style. Second while everyone is bashing on Krav there are LE agencies and military organizations around the world going through Krav training and courses. For those MMA groupies that didnt know theres a book on Krav written by John Whittman with a forward by Bas Rutten in it on the effectiveness of Krav.
If you want to talk about ineffective training methods you only have to look to most of the traditional arts and their bullshit katas and slow motion drills in loose fitting pj like outfits. Or lets look at MMA which is fine in a limited-offensive situation but most real crimes and combat scenarios involve weapons or multiple attackers. MMA covers none of these things and plays by a set of rules which will get you killed in the street. MMA also promotes the use of overly dangerous tactics that you can get away with on soft flooring and with a ref and rules in place to make sure everyone goes home safe, ie… Flying arm-bars,head-kicks,kicks above the waist in general. The traditional guys get to use unlimited offense but usually the weapons they train in are unrealistic for todays society and to much time is spent on the myth of the duel(weapon vs. weapon) and not enough time on empty hand defenses against common weapons, not some f#$*ing sword.
In the end Krav is very effective if trained at a legitamate school under a legitamate instructor.
This wont make me any friends but my hunch is 90% of the members on this site could’nt fight their way out of a paper bag and have little idea what true life or death combat entails.

You must be one of the 90% and dumb to boot. No intelligent counter points or arguments, nothing… Just a few lame ass personal attacks…
By the way i dont need electronic friends and this will be my last post. Every system or style has its flaws and weak points.

P.S. should not have got sucked into the shit talking anyway, but i was compelled to leave one last message, just as a fuck you:)

I am personally devastated, even though I pretty much gave it a “might or might not be, depends” answer. I’m really not sure if I can find the will to continue on after that scathing rant!
And goodness, one never heard of people in my style being in, say, law enforcement or the military. Nope!

I agree with most of what you said with the exception of the last sentence. From the vid’s Ive seen here most people here are quite capable of defending themselves.

Do you practise KM? And where?

The usual RBSD larpism. Krav won’t get you ready to fight one person lest alone multiple attackers and all the other bullshit it pretends to do.

And just as certainly, there obviously can’t be anyone in the military or law enforcement who posts on this site!

Of course not! We are not Teh R3al D3adly!
I’ll admit- I’m a noob white belt fattie. My instructors, however? …Yeah not so much. And at least one of them lurks here. Lurk lurk lurk!

Fixed. Oh and you don’t no shit about life or death because, if you did, you wouldn’t be spouting this bullshit.

Fucking I hate spring Break. We get sport, the deadly, insulting all arts, general ignorance and a strawman. Oh please go get us some statistics to back up your stupid assertions.

Once again the beginning Krav noob Rzero agrees with an idiot. Yes, you said most.

Oh how will I go on! Such scathing retort! How about this for a counter point. MOST of the people who have participated in this thread have stated that the quality of Krav depends largely on the instructor you find, look your whole whiney rant condensed into a sentence. Many of the points you poorly tried to make have already been argued and addressed in an intelligent manner. You however chose to do the forum equivalent of smearing feces on the wall and calling it art. You Krav nut riding tapout bitch.

I just love how a krav thread pisses off the idiots here.

Entertainment gold.

:problem:

Funny how you are the only one that gets pissed in these threads.

Lol, me pissed? Dont be silly, son.:IamDisappointed:

I dont get mad at something as irrelevant as a post on a messageboard.

Grow up. Its just the internet.

Trying to get the last word. How immature.

He’s got enough posts to not count as a noob. He’s just a troll or a dumbass.

Let me know when you begin to follow your own advice.

Personally, I’m a fan of the Simpsons rendition of Krav Maga:

Bart: I know Karate!
Girl: I know Krav Maga.
Bart: Krav Ma-wha?
Girl: Israeli Karate. Less Hi-yaaaaa, more Hi-YA!

  • Fight commences, containing nothing but groin shots.

It’s been a couple years I think since I really looked at BS.net, but I’m disappointed to see that the same kids on here are trying to make themselves feel tough not by wearing tapout, but by running their mouths about things they have no experience in.
