Rather bad this afternoon
No white screen of death today, but I am getting this on the front page and forums.
This is the only thread I’ve been able to load this morning.
If killing the feedback function was the fix, it didn’t work. Still getting the server too busy messages.
Been getting the message also: “The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later.”
Maybe it’s time to upgrade the hosting package?

Ugh, it continues today.
It’s gonna happen sometimes, guys. Between this and the temporary loss of the varrots, I continue to believe that there must be some sort of server maintenance or software update in progress.
If BS is running off a shared server the forum could be getting slowed down my someone else’s bad code (eg data leak) or insanely high traffic. The host support guys need to be digitally RNC’d into fixing the problem, server maintenance should never interrupt access except under rare and exceptional circumstances. It could also be worth checking the vb forums for similar reported issues as it could be caused by a combination of cpu hungry hacks/modifications.

turns out that when you become admin of a website,
you might actually have to, well, admin.
You shouldn’t get that message at all anymore; we disabled it last night.
The function was to prevent the forums from slowing down due to a system overload.

FYI, I was still getting it this morning - but morning/midday here is night at your place, so it might just a timezone overlap.
Didn’t have any further difficulties since around 11 AM GMT+1, so…

Was having the same problem until just now. Even after I cleared my cache and cookies, and PizDoff changed my password for me. Let’s hope it lasts…
