Hi. I am looking for videos where wing chung practitioners successfully apply wing chung in fightning against a non wing chung guy. That be in a competition or in a fight.
I know that somebody here must have some golden clips for me:)

Use the google and search for Alan Orr.
Does such a thing even exist?
Edit
Guys like Erik Paulson and Ron Balicki who are students of Dan Inosanto seem to like trapping, and Paulson seems to like to use it in grappling. They also seem to insist that trapping is one of those things that either works for you or it doesn’t, so take it for what it’s worth.
I personally think it’s better to work on the basics of bobbing/weaving, footwork and parrying. It’s not smart to overly complicate your tool box with unnecessary things.
From looking at this video he doesn’t seem theoretically wrong, but the most important feature of any style is whether they can pull of the moves in an alive setting… I’m not so sure that this qualifies.
Though one of his students did dominate in this fight:
It seems that anyone who would have practiced Wing Chun long enough to make it effective would be old and as a typical extension of that, not tech savvy or likely to post videos.
All of the “Wing Chun” I’ve seen in video fights either looked nothing like WC, or it looked like a sissy slap-fest.
I think there was some Chun in this video:
Chun is really everywhere. You just have to look closely to find it.
i feel that the ultimate warrior is definitely the direction this needs to go in.
From what i have seen (which isnt a vast amount) Shawn Obasi apears to the most committed Wing Chun practioner to apply the art in MMA but I have seen videos of him start in a Wing Chun form, through a punch and then it turns into a scrap (he did used to win quite allot though in UCL IIRCC).
There is a classic video of him at the M1 tryouts which is a must see.
both the fight videos posted above shows chun fighters that don’t use the chun in mma… there is maybe 2-3 chain punches but that’s all. Also considering talent I think these guys would be quite proficient at fighting even without martial art training.
I want to see a chunner that uses chun in a fight against a qualified opponent. AND the chunner must win.
Shawn Obasi? Check
Alan Orr? Check?
Comment about "using chun to win? Check.
Trolling thread with a very old topic? Check.
I am dead serious! I am checking if somebody have actually won using these techniques. I want to see somebody that uses exotic techniques win. I realize that this is an old topic that alot of people have strong issues about for some mind blowing reason… but … I can’t see anything wrong in asking for this.

Are you sure you know what wing chun looks like in application?
Note…Watching Sherlock Holmes movie is not what it looks like in application. Though…props to Guy Richie for getting a little bjj into the movie as well (at one point Holmes if fighting with Watson and he hits a triangle from closed guard).

There is a search function and every other person to ask this VERY SAME QUESTION was serious.
Who said wrong?
After 9 years, the earliest I found was 2003, I will always consider it trolling.
Intentional or otherwise, Uglybugly has made the internet a better place by creating a thread about the Ultimate Warrior.
Dude was my hero as a kid. I won loads of money at school that he’d beat Hogan at WrestleMania (6?)
WOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!
sighs
I know how this riddle goes. the more I react the worse I look. It is the same over and over again.
Yes, it is the same over and over again.
Every thread starts with “what is the real,” videos of “the real” are provided , the videos don’t meet the undefined criteria of “the real,” caveats are added to “the real” and then pages are spent defining what constitutes “the real.”
The only difference in this thread is it hasn’t reached the high page count.
But seriously I think we’ll have to dig through youtube for smokers and very amateur events to find chun working in the ring.
Stuff like this:
youtube descrpition:
15 year old Ramesh Habib from Lifestyle Kung Fu adapting Wing Chun to the kickboxing ring, Ramesh is in Black
In this video we see a young up and comer “Ip Man” pwning a boxing champ in the ring
Here is a bonus video of the real Capoeira working in the ring:
Just like I thought. At best it only makes boxers mad.
