Not That I can speak for the Airforce, as I’ve yet to see a good fighter in any level from there, but if the base is Army or Marines, or Navy. I’m not too worried. From what we’ve seen of Veridian, even the garbage they teach in boot will have them stomping the kid, specially when you add in the conditioning.
For those unclear on how wrong this is, this comment is courtesy of Veridian:

I like kata. I use to like sparring but I am not to good at it and I don’t think it matters all that much. I am going to slowly phase it out of my classes that I teach

Oh, I agree, I just think that it won’t happen or won’t last long regaurdless. Some of the guys I knew back in the corps might be dim, but not about something as simple as “hey, I can beat up my teacher, why am I learning stuff from him?”
I think its quite possible that Veridian is a 275 pound Drag Queen, who performs kata’s for the men at the local Blue Oyster Bar. I don’t think its possible that someone would hire him/her, I don’t know what it prefers, to teach them to fight, nuff said.
To be fair, the only time I saw Veridian post anything about 275 pounds was on the “desirable body shape” or whatever thread. Although everyone else was posting what they weighed and all, it’s quite possible he was intending to post what he felt was most desirable.

Hmmmm… Let’s see… Veridian teaches MA… and he isn’t good at sparring… so he doesn’t like it… so he’s phasing it out of his classes. I’d say this has more to do with him being tired of being embarassed in front of his students than sparring not mattering all that much.
