Megalef,
Since you speciffically mention him I will come right out and say it. I was training under senior master westbrook when he received his 4th degree Black Belt in Traditional Sangham TKD. FYI All that the Title Master means is that the person has attained the level of 4th degree BB. I have trained under Multiple Instructors in TKD and Senior Master Westbrook is Hands Down the absolute best instructor i have ever had. If you have any questions about his philosophy and training programs please visit his website : http://myataworld.com/
To those who are posting who have either never had a good instructor in TKD or just plain don’t know what they are talking about, not all martial arts are centered around beating the crap out of someone. ATA is centered around a strict philosophy and is a competition based MA. There is a reason the TKD is the only MA that is an Olympic sport. Think about that for a few minutes. There is also a reason that it is the most widely practiced MA in the World.
Thank you for your time,
dlr3y
P.S. I have been instructing TKD for 3 yrs now my self FYI

In Songahm you become eligible for the title of Master at 6th degree black belt.

Judo?
Either way Songahm TKD is as much different from Olympic TKD as it is the same. If you’re gonna necro a thread at least make it worthwhile. Your entire post is shit.

Really, I thought that was the reason why MAs were created. Man have I been misled. Wake up kid. If you are not learning to kick the crap out of someone, you are learning a dance routine.

Is that philosophy to trick the masses into a false sense of security and to dish out tons of cash?

Please enlighten us on how boxing, judo, wrestling, archery, and biathlon are not martial arts.
There is also a reason that it is the most widely practiced MA in the World.
Please provide statistics that prove TKD is the most widely practiced martial art. And I do mean actual statistics, not your own interpretation of generic statistic polling.

WOW, a whole 3 years and you are here to lecture us. We should all bow down in humble reverance to your vast knowledge and so many years of teaching. Oh my, you are not one to be messed with.
dlr3y, welcome to the site. That thread is six years old and MEGALEF no longer posts on this site. Please do not resurrect old threads with little to no pertinent information concerning the thread topic. It’s a rule we have here on the site.
