Well, I guess it’s good that at least one bully won’t be learning anything usefull.

ZING~

Well, atleast one kid seems he’s on the road to living a normal life. He’s found his self-esteem thru Martial arts.I think it benefited me, so why can’t we say it can have a positive benefit to help children.

And no,I don’t believe that Sensei’s can make great councelors ,in-case anyone was going to use this argument against me.

ZING~! indeed.

I don’t believe that Sensei’s can make great councelors

There’s nothing inherent in martial training that makes them unqualified. The biggest issue is that martial arts instructors don’t have the same clinical training or confidentiality that a psychotherapist would have. It’s no different than telling a sports coach about problems.

However, given their position of instruction and guidance for people, it would behoove MA instructors to know some basics about focused listening and communication, and know when matters start to get over their head (Sensei, Dad grabs me when I get home from karate and says “lets see what you got” and starts beating me saying “COME ON, KARATE KID!”)

I wonder if Dr. Phil plans to convert ALL bullies to Ninjitsu?
