They can’t get past the minor leagues.
Thing is, kung fu has gone through thousands of years of evolution to become very street effective and lethal. It’s evolved away from sport and is not particularly suited to UFC/Pride rulesets as they are too limiting and do not allow the full scope of kung fu to be shown.
Many of the techniques practiced by kung fu people are also far too lethal to be practiced in a UFC setting… spear hands being one good example.
