I was looking for information on this system, Shou Shu and just upset a lot of people, but remember people who have never delt with system, need to be informed. I thank I found enough information on this blog, But if you have anything to add, please do.

Shou Shu sounds pretty sweet, I dig it

Shou Shu sucks super big time. They hero worship “da’Shifu” and are an incredibly insular group. They have an incredibly unrealistic apprecation of their system’s abilities such as how they can easily defeat multiple opponents and how being a blue belt in Shou shu makes you more badass than being a blackbelt in… um… ANY other style. And the official history of Shou Shu, despite being clouded in tantilizing mystery, is fishier than Mongolian seafood.

shou shu is cool

i take shou shu, but i just started, and im a noob (orange belt) but its a really good style. i think one of you took American Kenpo, and shou shu is a lot like that. in fact, the styles share some of the same techniques. shou shu only uses techniques to convey a priciple. The main thing about shou shu is HOW you do a technique, or hand form, or kick, or block, stance, kata, etc. And if you tried it, you would find that way of doing it exellent, and could apply that to the techniques of your current style. and YES, shou shu works, its just hard to show that in a tournament enviornment because of rules, a lot of what we do are groin strikes, or eye strikes, or various nerve strikes that arent allowed in a tournament because of the serious damage it does. hope that sheds some light on the style, c ya
