I am not a k1 fighter but i`m a kotc dude going there in the summer this pisses me off cause they are trying to make mma look fake by getting paid to loose, oh and yeah he is a pro wrestler but he a puerseoa which is the real shit like catch and shoot style, you should of known that,…unlike that fake ass shit here, yeah I am thrilled that they will get there ass knocked out.
Ummm…in Japan the MMA/Wrestling camps are pretty much one and the same and the crossover between the two is unsettling to say the least. Pride and especially K1 in the past have had some rather dubious matches take place in MMA events.
Also, they have legitimate matches known as “shoots” during their WWE style fights featuring MMA fighters in Japan. While a small percentage of the fights are real, most have a predetermined winner…it isn’t like this is a first circumstance with no precedent sent. While this intertwining of competitions is accepted in Japan, American fans would most likely not understand the difference. Fortunately the few times the WWE has tried to feature “MMA style” submissions, they’ve apparently not appealed to the fans.
