Shin Bruises...

I got a shitload of bruises on my shins now cuz of conditioning exercises and we were made to spar NO USING HANDS (except for covering up, blocking, and clinching) and my shins got really sore from that. :frowning:

I have ointment here that helps heal bruises fast. When I get em on the face or on the body or on the thighs…

Should I put medecine on shin bruises? Or should I leave them alone since the medicine will just heal the nerves and render the conditioning useless?

I’ve read an article somewhere that muai thai fighters kick trees with their shins in order to kill the nerves so that they wont feel pain when they kick.

Any advice on this? thanks.

The act of healing does not render the conditioning usless. you don’t want to kill the nerves, you want to build a higher pain tolerance and slowly strengthen the bones and connective tissue.

We are talking about banana trees, its a very soft tree, probably like kicking a normal bag.

sorry for interrupting… but i like to point out one factual error and misconception about banana tree…

that is banana tree dont have seed… it replicates itself using its shoots or roots… hence some scientists predicted that banana might go the way of the dodo…
