Richard Petty NASCAR Experience

I spent most of yesterday at the Homestead Race Track, taking in and taking part of the Richard Petty NASCAR experience. Pretty neat stuff, the most horsepower I’ve ever driven was my 2001 Viper GTS ACR, at 460, so I was expecting a big difference with the NASCAR at 650hp. It was really noticeable, and more important a fuckload of fun! Man those cars stick to the track.

So do those cars have manual transmissions? I don’t know crap about NASCAR. What the hell kind of clutch do they use to stand up to 650 HP?

I believe they are blessed by the Techmarines. Those with mullets.

I have a couple of friends who have done the Petty Driving Experience while staying in Orlando.

One of them actually shit his pants.

Manual 4 speed. By the time I entered from the pit lane, I was already in 4th gear. My top speed was 132mph.
