Dude, you should read his introduction.

What’s with the ready stance as part of a work out.

its not i just kinda practice it in the mirror i thought 8-10 was from stenght and mass so i should keep my reps lower than 8-10 so do the excerises 5x5 kk

5x5 doesn’t mean just do 5 sets of 5 reps.

There’s a link to read up on.

yeah bill stars 5x5 i did the rippetoe when i first started bbing

kk
i will replace my lifting program with this then add bill stars

I still want to know the deal with the ready stance crap. I don’t get it. Do you stand there and try to look cool?

Looks like you took a lot of excercises good in themselves, and mashed them together and hoped for the best. This is a bad approach.

The best thing I could recommend is to read The New Rules of Lifting: Six Moves to Maximum Muscle Gain.

Use it for the resistance training portion of whatever you decide to do. Its a combination of lots of free weights, some body resistance, with a tiny bit of machines (for cable rows and pull downs).

The workouts are setup in several different groups of modules that focus on different goals - weight loss, mass building, and strengthening. You can mix and match them how you like or need based on you’re progress and needs. Each module runs about four to six weeks, depending if done for 2, 3, or 4 days a week. This means you can adjust it over time to you’re needs without actually straying a single rep from the program. Most other workouts have to be tweaked over and over, and eventually, they aren’t really a consistent program because they’ve been tweaked to death.

Most everyone I’ve found likes the guy who designed the modules, and the Amazon reviews are really positive. One of the authors has posted on the link to purchase the book above in a blog with clarifications of a couple areas that weren’t really clear in the book.

Really advanced lifters might disagree with some of the finer points of it, but statistically speaking, consistently following a professionally designed program with all the leg work already performed for you is going to provide 95% of people with much better results much faster than trying to make one yourself based on complilation of scattered sources. My guess is you’re in this category (so am I, that’s how I found it and why I use it).

The module system allows adjustment every 4 -6 weeks so its flexible enough to adjust to you’re goals. Without sifting through whatever chaf the local personal trainer scene provides (most gyms hire anyone, stick them in a sweat suit, give them a week long course and call them trainers) until you find a good one, then pay lots of money for a workout tailored to you, chances are you won’t find a better work out.

Do the workouts mornings, and combine it with some good strecthing program on your off days, and some kind of cardio. That leaves you evenings for martial arts training. That’s the majority of what I do. I started it after an ankle injury as well.

The book says you don’t need a lot of stretching and no cardio, but its designed as a lifting program for fitness, not a complete martial arts training program.

no i practice footwork and ready stance in front of mirrior

do u always come off as such a dick?

Yeah, actually I do. Until you get to know me I’ll always be “that asshole”

*shrug welcome to the internet kid.

I still don’t understand why you would pose in front of the mirror. I mean footwork is foot work but posing? Shouldn’t be part of a workout program.

it heps me focus on my enemy and move with out looking at my feet
if that makes any sense

Your enemy is yourself? No, you’ve lost me on that one, what type of crap have you been reading kid?

No Omega, you misunderstand.

You see, when this kid gets up in the morning, and glares into the mirror, he’s in his mom’s bedroom.

In his mom’s bedroom, he sees his truly worst enemy. A man so terrifying he cannot look him in the eye. A slightly tubby, but big-shouldered and aggressive looking Tai Chi practitioner. Lying next to his mom. Looking satisfied.

With a british accent.

Yup. You guessed it.

And that’s why he does the 3x12 (sorry, omygosh 8-10). He wants big shoulders. Like his momma’s business partner.

But it will never work.

Why?

Because I don’t leave 'em enough money to buy steak.

fuck it

lol…

What’s the matter dude? Am I being to blunt with you? We told you to develope a thick skin. You want help and then when it’s offered to you, you cry about it. You need not be on this site for another few years if you don’t have the maturity to talk amongst adults.

to u see what i am trying to say about me practicing my form in front of the mirror
what wrong with tai chi besides being totally useless:jihad:

:englishmo It’s like you’re trying to communicate in English but you failed 3rd grade and have been repeating it for the past 7 years.

i want to pass 3rd grade but i fail all my papers so can get extra credit from ur mom:tongue5:

Much better on the humor.

BTW don’t fall into Mr. Bosco’s crap.
