When I was a kid, my family had a firm policy on pets: You bring it into the house, you care for it.
Did I say we had a firm policy? I lied about that. My sisters were constantly bringing cats into the household and then neglecting them. I got pretty good at caring for cats. Disadvantage of being the youngest, I guess.
My understanding is that jnp decided to let Wabbit back in, and therefore got to be the one to clean up after him. It was the policy my parents should have enforced.
