Question for MT School

i always just assume you are trolling.

if you want a serious answer, i dont really agree with the other people here. i dont think it is enough to just throw elbows on pads and bags. now in thailand that works because those guys are fighting with elbows every other weekend since they are about 10-12 years old. its for this same reason they dont spar much in thailand except in the clinch, they dont need to when they are fighting all the time anyway. over here we spar a lot more because fights are much further apart.

so for incorporating elbows into our training, as i said we dont let the nubs do it but in the advanced class we do “live” training and sparring drills with them. one of the main ones we do with elbows is more of a sensitivity thing where you clinch and as soon as someone throws an elbow you throw one back. of course we dont try and slam each others skulls in doing this. this drills into you when and how to throw elbows as well as how to defend against them.

when i said you didnt understand the live training bit i meant you are equating live training with sparring. this is not the case.

edit- and every clip ive seen of _ing _un people using elbows is pretty much a 101 on things NOT to do when using elbows. shit like this-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHWvOU08Utw

you ALWAYS have your other arm plastered to your face while throwing an elbow because unless you are fighting some fucking chump, or you KO them with it, you WILL get one back

Thank you for your answer Alex.
And I’m never trolling.

HAH! You’re still agreeing me, BITCH!

ill agree you upside the head with my bruce irvin dragon punch if you arent careful

Thanks for the responses.

Right. Though they’re not alone and being tough is not always sufficient.

I mean that it gives you live experience with the technique.

Anyways, now that I think about it, light sparring with elbows isn’t bad. Set them up, but pull them.

When it comes out on DVD I will return it.Probably the naked wrestling scene.Don’t you worry!

I’m not yet exactly sure you’re not someone else posting under another user name that’s all.

If I’m wrong.I’ll go to hell.

I joine the ing-un threads because I’ve known a lot of friends you have gone into it and I’ve always felt sorry for myself.

Thats right?Sorry! For not being there to help when I could.

This is the second time I am being suspected of posting under different user names (though I don’t remember if it was you back then or someone else).
I did not, do not and will not. Period.

Any photos???

note- i dont condone fighting like this. both of these guys must be a shite site dumber after that fight. it isnt the whole thing but i couldnt find a better version on the tube

Haha, that looks like just about every Bovy Sor Udomson fight I’ve ever seen

Yep, nice little grey matter massage…
The commentators of that clip on youtube seem to be flattered by the greatness of the fighters who can take that many elbows to the head. Their endurance sure is respectable. But I’d rather see them proving themselves great by avoiding/blocking most attacks instead of absorbing them with their face…
Unless there are that many volunteer fighters in Thailand that they need not defend themselves, they’ll just get some other guys into the ring when these end up on wheelchairs drooling…

This post really comes off sounding pretty douchey.

I had this funny feeling you (amongst others) wouldn’t like it…
Still, you reacted quite kindly. Wait 'till Alex gets to read it…
Look, I wouldn’t probably last longer than 1-2 such elbows, but you must admit, there must be better ways to counter elbows than by suffering them…
Tonuzaba

as much as it saddens me i agree with tonu, i much prefer watching a fighter who has the ability to dodge or counter attacks then just taking them and walking forward.

Wow, reason stepped over lineages and styles this day.
Don’t be sad Alex. My -un is not infectious, you’re not in danger. A little agreeing with me from time to time isn’t ruining neither your health nor your Bullshido reputation, I hope…
Tonuzaba

nothing to do with lineage or style, more to do with being a dumb fighter or a smart fighter.

the powers of the dark side make me immune to anything from WC, including the brain rot its practitioners suffer from

It’s not that I don’t agree that defending is better than not defending. Big freakin’ duh. The fact that your comment is poo pooing a lumpinee champion’s performance, while being some kung fu hobbiest, is what comes off sounding douchey. Some times fighters just like to show how tough they are by charging through shit and having a war. It’s not a smart way to fight obviously, but you’re a nerd.

Thats why he’s called the woodenman (jongsonan). And if I could take shots like that, best believe I’m going to and try to inflict even more punishment on my oponnent. And I’m sure both of them thought they could take it and they did.

IMO it is a smart way to fight if your goal is to win with no regard for your body. If I knew that I could take 60 elbows to the head, and thought I could take more than my opponent than I’m gonna take an elbow in the face for the sake of giving them an elbow in the face. I doubt they would have landed as many elbows on each other if one of them dodged the elbow instead of taking it and giving one right back. I liked the way they fought.

Dodging is for pussies who like their brain cells

Guess I was under the mistaken impression it was for “pussies” who wanted to win fights. Whoopsie.
