Now what exactly have you learned in your absence?
Nothing.
You corrected someone, arrogantly I might add, in a thread about Monkey Kung Fu. The fact you don’t see the issue at hand proves, your haven’t learned anything in you absence.
Like your hate for the “yeller bastards” as you call them?
That was one time and I didn’t know what it meant, so yes I was ignorant (my first language is not English). I actually had a constructive opinion that must have gone way over your head on this thread. You are the one that decided you still hate me and derailed the thread. Stop abusing your moderator powers.
Whatever, it was still almost three years ago… I never said that I was so great but I will admit that my experiences have shaped me to become a better man. If you feel threatened by me perhaps that is something you need to deal with on your own.
Obviously you can’t just let it go and get on with your life and I just don’t know what to say to you anymore only that I feel sorry that you have so much hate inside you.
Basically, you were caught in a lie, about your age, that you posted, that you just dismissed, and you have an issue.
I thought you were smart?
This thread is about you, how am I derailing a thread talking about you?
WTF, so I forgot when I said that and now I’m a liar??? You have undeservingly called me pretentious, a racist, anf a liar, amongst other things, today and only proven that you have nothing meaningful to say at all only make yourself feel better by abusing your “power” and belittling people. Well, it doesn’t work on me because I know just what type of person you are and couldn’t care less about your warnings and insults so just fuck off.
No, you gave me an infraction for derailing a thread and decided to move it to a new thread.
,
You posted in your 2007 thread that you taught English.
Now you taught martial arts.
Who in the hell in China is going to take martial arts lessons from a lone 20-21-22 year old English teacher?
Just wondering, but what martial arts were you teaching in China and in what provinces?
Actually I taught both. I started helping my teacher teach during my last year there when I was 22 and taught Sanda at the primary/middle school where I was teaching, for a semester. I stopped teaching English halfway through my last year to more actively study martial arts and get some teaching experience (In Sanda). Everyone there was very respectful and called me Jiaolian (coach). It is a fond memory. Now I am preparing to start teaching Sanda while I am going back to school to become a policeman.
I was teaching Sanda in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south and not professionally.
No, I was 21 then and forgot when I said that today since it WAS A LONG TIME AGO. That does not equal lying and has nothing to do with anything…???
SO, you forget your age when it is convenient?
This is a thread about you, it has everything to do with “anything.”
No, you said you were nineteen then.
This is a thread about you, it has everything to do with “anything.”
Well, whatever. I arrived in China in February 2005, turned 18 at the end of May 2004, and just came back several months ago in 2009. I never left during that time. You do the math.
None of this changes the fact that you are an arsehole that wants to make me look bad even when I manage to do it myself already.
You said you were 21 in 2007.
In 2009 you said you were 19.
What you say now, is irrelevant. You typed the posts, you admit you typed them, and you are now claiming it is a mistake. I call it lie.
No, someone pointed out you were pretentious and you flipped out. Remember?
I said I was 19 AT THE TIME, you flaming idiot. And I didn’t flip out, merely stated why my statements are all true.
If I was really such a demon I wouldn’t have friends from all over the world of all ethnicities, religions, and sexual preferences, some of them willing to let me do this: YouTube - Stokvechten.
I will be the first to admit that I’m direct and occasionally politically incorrect but I do not deserve to be lynched as you’d very much like me to be.
First of all, not from Michigan… I was born and raised in Holland and Belgium and have also lived in several other countries including China, where I have just returned from and lived for over four years in various cities and studied and eventually started teaching martial arts for most of that duration, got married to a Chinese woman (who is still immigrating), witnessed a brutal sword attack, made a citizen’s arrest, became deathly ill for several months, learned to speak almost fluent Chinese, drove over 7.000km over mountains through jungle and villages on a motorcycle (without a driver’s license), on which I was stopped by a squad of military police with assualt rifles pointed at my face, took part in several caving expeditions as an interpreter where we were the first foreigners to have ever been to such remote locations where people couldn’t even speak Chinese let alone enter the caves, amongst countless other things. So, to answer your question: A LOT.
EDIT: And don’t ever try to call people out again when you are probably monolingual and your idea of adventure is an all-inclusive packaged tour with McDonald’s meals and the only martial art that exists is BJJ. Fucking ignorant people pissing me off today… SIGH
In response to these two posts:
Oh look! The pretentious Asiaphile has returned to educate us about shit he doesn’t even know about & criticize people when he’s the one who lacks a clue.
What does a guy from Michigan know aobut China anyway?
You posted a racist article in February of 2007. In that thread you claimed you were 21.
You now say you were 19 at the time. Get your story straight so, you don’t get caught in a lie.

Ah the “I have Black/Gay/Jew/Indian/Etc friends” defense.

You are really grasping the air for arguements. I already said that I wasn’t sure when I wrote that and guessed 19. Either way it was YEARS ago. A lie is when you know the truth and say something different to your advantage. What advantage do I have being 19 rather than 21 and why the fuck does is matter anyway??? I have not lied once and you are way out of line. O, and thank you for reminding me that I have several American and Israeli Jewish friends as well to further prove my point that I am in no way even slightly racist or bigotted and stand behind all of my statements about the situation in China as the 100% truth.

So now you are planning on teaching Sanda in the US?
Do you truly feel qualified to teach with the experience you now have from your limited time in this art?
but 99% of the things that I wrote in that thread were true, despite the fact that you didn’t like the way that I said it, even the things in that thread or another about a lot of the Chinese men.
Wow the percentages change just like your age.
Lying Bigot.
I wrote the article that you misinterpreted as racism. Trol.
Wow another lie.
Had nothing to with your article, it had to do with your statements, in the previous thread, which helped prove it was a racist article.
Lying bigoted cock tickler.
ps. myspace contacts do not make people your friends. They don’t even fit the criteria for acquaintances.

Several years of dedication, my continuous improvement through sparring with different people of different arts, a second degree blackbelt in Taekwondo (Which I know isn’t the best art, but it got me very athletic and ready to learn a real art like Sanda), limited time spent in various other arts, and a wealth of culture and linguage that I brought back with me from China very much qualify me to teach, but I am not teaching professionally.
That will wait until after I have gone back to China after sparring taller/bigger Westerners for several years to learn more from my teacher and ask him his opinion and then after being a policeman for a while I will consider teaching professionally.

The other 1% is where you mistook humour and wording for biggotry. You are just a sinofile caucasian-hating racist yourself and it really doesn’t matter what I say.
And I don’t use Myspace really, as it was blocked in China, and have only used it to keep in contacr with people that I DO know since I’ve been back. Again with the straws. You must be so lonely and desperate, waiting for me to falter and trying to capitalise on every little syllable. Good luck.
You can imagine me as anything you’d like but it doesn’t change the fact that despite my black humour I’m really a rather interesting, friendly, and knowledgeable person to know.
