Pets of Bullshido members 2008

Kein Haar’s attempt last year went unanswered.

This year it’s my turn to create a pet-themed thread that’ll wither away with time.

So, after several years of dreaming about it, I’ve got myself 2 young Extatosoma tiaratum.

They originate from Australia - local Bullshido members, anybody has these in their garden?

I named them Frida and Kahlo.

They only eat leaves of bramble (I’ll try to get them Eucalyptus leaves at the botanical garden here), they don’t need males to reproduce and are generally very zen. Also, they’re quite and don’t lose hair. Ideal pets. Not for too much caressing though, might be uncomfortable.

I’ve yet have to make good photos of them, since they’re small, moving between the twigs I placed in their plastic home + I suck in photograpping. I’ll update.

But this is how they’re going to look when they grow up:

My wife - who starts scratching herself by just hearing the word ‘insect’ - hates me now. I keep thinking: is she going to murder them or me first one night, while we sleep?

P.S.
She actually loves me, because she didn’t throw me nor Frida and Kahlo out.

Yet.

You mean to tell me that those things are alive and you consider them “pets” … ?

and this is my Kitty Ashida Kim with a bottle of homemade Absinthe . I really should upload some new photo’s of my cats …

This is Mr Puddles. He loves hugs and kisses!

Yes, they are stick insects - one of the largest species of insect alive today.

Don’t you love strange looking, enormously large insects too?

I plan to mutate them into 3 metres long man-eating beasts that’ll listen only to me and follow my orders. And zhen we will take over zhe world!!!

Ehmmmm, excuse me, where were we?

Ah yes, pets.

Please, post pics of cats - I’ll upload photos of our recently passed away cat, Twiggy.

One of these is a cat, last time I checked.

The guys at the Tattoo Parlor love them much .

Can’t have dogs in New York City. It’s pretty much cruel and unusual punishment unless you’re loaded enough to have space for them and a yard. Either that or the kind of life that allows you to spend lots of time with them.

But if I could have one, it’d be one of these little guys:

My poupas:

Governor Bishop (+kat’s boob)

Queen Nyu-chan

My two furrballs:

My dog doubles as my hair piece

I like your poupa

my dog, pork chop

If I had that dog I’d grab his snout a lot, and kiss it.

shes a lover, not a fighter, but also a fighter, so dont get any ideas. She is a poor watch dog, never barks, doesnt alert me to danger. but wants to kill anything under 20lbs. i nthe passed 6 months she has destroyed 2 cats, 1 racoon and one opposum

After she fought 2 racoons. one died, the other managed to get away while she went back to the dead one

Your dog is gorgeous.

Here is my Bull Terrier Achilles:

My other dog Dorey beating on Achilles:

Just because this is a thread about pets, doesn’t mean nobody gets to say the lady in the pic is gorgeous.

There, I said it. In my 3500th post…

Don’t let Pork chop loose on me, please.
