Part 2 of the MA faq:

First I want to start out by saying, it’s important to have a ground game.
It’s very possible for those cool boxers and strikers to get their ass kicked on the street. If you take a striker on the ground then he is in your pond.
And your the big fish in the pond that he can’t swim in.
Cool light or middle weight boxers like Oscar del A hoya can even get their ass kicked in the street against your average loser couch potato with that oversized beer belly. It’s sad but true. All that lazy slob needs is to take that pro light-mid weight striker to the ground. The striker looses the whole advantage.
I’m not taking about the heavy weight strikers. Those guys are too strong and powerful. to take down. Though a grappler might stabnd a bettewr chance.

Street fighting: First anf formost I never reccomend street fighting.
Any martial artist will tell you that.
Most people on the street are scum and will pull out a big knive or baseball bat.
Or their buddies will jump in.
I would rather finish a fight standing up, than on the ground.
If you go to the ground their buddies will kick you in the head.
I wouldn’t fight someone with a knife unless I had too.
Grappling someone with a knife will only get you stabbed many times in the head or body. You could isolate the arm but you would end up in a real shitty possition, if you are trying to win the fight.
I would keep my distance and kick him in the nuts, eye gouge the crap out of him and go for the throat. Or try to get something bigger like a base ball bat to his knife or a slege hammer to his baserball bat.
Which brings me to another topic. Fighting someone with a bat is almost the opposite than fighting someone with a knife. This time you want to get in close to take away his swining range. Go for the dirty tricks from the inside, eye gouge, genitile mutilation ect.
If anyone pulls a wepon on me, the white gloves come off.
No mercy. No compassion.

Pulling guard on the street is bullshit. Don’t pull guard unless you have too.
Always be the guy on top.
Try going for an armbar or triangle from guard and you will get picked up and slamed on the pavement.
Guy might even to the can opener on you.

Finishing a fight: Here are some good fight finishes.
A boxers combonation is a good finisher. Kicks to the groin will hurt and piss the guy off. Kicks behind the ear can knock him out.
Knees to the belly, groin and face are good finishers. elbows are another good tool to have in the toolbox.
Judo throws are GREAT finishers. If you can slam someone on the pavement, the fight is over. That’s why Judo is great for self defense.
BJJ submissions like, rear naked choke are great.

sandbag2, does this post contain a legitimate discussion of martial arts technique?

The answer of course is no. So my question to you is, why the fuck did you start this thread in the Basic Technique forum?

Keep your shitty threads out of the technique forums or I’ll ban you from them altogether. Is that clear?
