Online sting results in sex charges

SALISBURY – A martial arts employee was recently taken into custody after allegedly soliciting sexual acts from an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, according to police.

David M. Gunzburg, a 40-year-old East William Street resident, was charged with sexual solicitation of a minor after a series of email exchanges between himself and a sheriff’s deputy posing as a teenage girl, according to charging documents.

He is facing up to a 10-year sentence – the maximum penalty under state law – if he is convicted of solicitation of a minor.

Gunzburg, a Mitchell’s Martial Arts black belt assistant instructor, was released from Wicomico County Detention Center on $50,000 bond Sept. 1.
