Having not only run into and had “physical” arguments with SCA people…(that were sent back to their dungeons and Dragons lairs) I would love to see an SCA role player and there padded masters… fight a tier one DBMA fighter…LMAO

Hell, After three months of bad Kali, not DBMA Kali, Wing Chun with sticks Kali I went to an SCA heavy list.

It was a joke.

I took the field with two sticks, against whatever my opponent decided to bring. It was ridiculous. ALL I did was an alternating Heaven-6/Earth-6 and I walked through most of the competition. They simply do not consider the off hand weapon a threat.

The reason the dog brothers continue to fight after what would seem a to be a devastating blow (if not for the padding) is the fact that, this is a learning time. We continue the fight in hopes of not getting hit when the apponent goes back to the well and tries to repeat the same technique a second time. This is the school of hard knocks! It is a very fast learnig curve. It is more of a laboratory setting rather than a stage for acting. The SCA is good at what they do and the Dog Brothers are good at what they do and never the twain should meet. Otherwise they would be two of the same animal, just refered to by different names. Ocasionaly, a little larping goes on durring a dog brothers knife figt although, that has been lessoned in the past few years with the use of high voltage shock knifes durring mock knife fighting matches.
As far as digging up and reviveing old threads? Who is it hurting! Actualy one might have some new insight when revisiting an old subject. Open your minds so they don’t get full of bullshido! BTW, good link, FAKE.
