After 34 years in Martial Arts I have decided that I need a new challenge in life. That challenge is the inter net. You are my challengees.
Ving Tsun kung fu is an excellent art well armed to provide a safe and family-oriented Martial Arts experience for students of all ages. The arts mission is to foster self-improvement and personal development through focused combat training. Ving Tsun promotes physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere.
Our greatest responsibility is to instill in our students a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them to lead exemplary lives as leaders in the community. And be supremely effective combat technicians!
Students and enthusiasts of Martial Arts have many reasons for their interest in Ving Tsun. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
I look forward to many here joining this wonderful art.
Hello Ghost Of Kimura thank you for your welcome. Kimura is a Japanese name are you from there? Kung Fu is from China and is much older than Japanese arts like Karate and Kenpo
CKD is Choi Kwan Do, a very effective modern martial art from Korea. I also study Ving Tsun kung fu which is a much older martial art from China. Both are very good in different ways and complement the other well to form a solid basis for a true all-rounder. You can’t go wrong with either art if you have a good teacher.
It’s worthy… just not sure why you came here? Is it to argue or just enlighten us? To tell us we have in essence “wasted” our training time by not training in your style? Please, save it because most of us in martial arts have heard it all. If there was one perfect style/system, we would all be doing it. We don’t because we all find something we love in our styles or systems. Respect them all because they all have something wonderful to offer.
I do respect other arts they are just not up there with Ving Tsun kung fu for punching and hand defense or Choi Kwan Do for kicking. I respect your choice to follow inferior arts that’s your perogative.
it might or it might mean youre out of touch with reality
none is perfect, but some are better than others, some are much much better than others
define inferior, and thats fine, as long as you don’t expect to be able to fight
i am going to recommend that you use the search function here on your chosen arts, it might save you a hell of a lot of pain from people a hell of a lot meaner than I am
Everyone’s probably gonna hold back a bit because this is Newbietown…but definitely search “wing chung” and “choi kwan do”…you’ll see why most of the people that have posted thus far are a little wary of your purporting _ing _un and choi kwan do as the “ultimate” arts
Ving Tsun and CKD are at the forefront of the combat arts, true martial arts that is. They are growing in followers and are held in the highest regards by many thousands or maybe millions of students. Being good makes people from inferior arts jealous and they say bad things, this is to be expected.
CKD is an excellent art. When art is successful it draws detractors from inferior arts and lineages. This kind of thing is a good sign that we are doing something right!
