It’s worse than that, he’s dead, Jim!
I got repped on a post that I myself cannot see.

I got repped on a post that I myself cannot see.
Yup. I noticed that too.
Some of the threads look like people are posting in them like they are having a conversation, but I can’t see anything new since two days ago. So are they working for some people, but not others? (I suppose it’s also possible that the threads are just full of posts that just read hello, is this thing on?)
EDIT: Hey, wow, I can see this post.

It seems okay now, but I thought that two days ago.
Useful example.
I’ve got post #18 in this dumbass thread http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=119543 but it hasn’t shown up in my usercp in days
Also notice how there are even less recent posts available if you log out.
DAMMIT PHROST, I NEED MY FIX
I think the site is under DDOS attack by the Algerians again.
Phrost, tell them to upgrade Apache.
2.2.20 is a few releases behind and full of vulnerabilities.

my upstairs neighbors are at it again? bitches.
We’re moving hosts tomorrow. Fixes coming too.

This is turning sci fi. It’s like there was a rift in time and from it BS.net split into 2 entities. We now live in alternating worlds as Bullshido and Bizarro Bullshido are rivaling for existence.
This is still the case, the ipconfig thingy didn’t help. It’s still alternating between the two.
I just hope this message reaches you in time before we switch back to BZZZ …losing signal… BZZZZZZZZZZ
Transmission abrupted
The DNS was propagated 10 hours after the transfer; what you’re seeing is the result of shitty DNS servers on the part of various ISPs.
protip: google has good DNS servers (you do not need to use your ISP’s DNS to get to the internet.) google’s DNS is at 8.8.8.8
fair warning: if you do that to your work computer, you probably won’t be able to reach intranet sites (private internal only sites for your work) so only do this if you know what you are doing (which means that you would have already known to do this.)
you know what, forget it.

You know what, this is something I should have thought of, but I didn’t. Thanks.
Also, is it feasible to fix those broken threads?
Working on it.
Just watched a YouTube video straight from a video comments thread on my iPhone, without having to reply with quote to copy and paste the link.
+1 on that site upgrade gentlemen, much appreciated!

Speaking for all the members; much appreciated.
Question: So since Bizarro Bullshido is still alive, I’m assuming that database is still hosted on the old server, will it be deleted by the end of the month?
There’s something screwy still going on. I run my own DNS servers, which query root servers. My named.root files are up to date. I’m periodically still getting 69.30.224.130 as www.bullshido.net. I’ve cleared my caches multiple times, but that entry persists.
For now, I’ve just hardcoded the correct address in /etc/hosts…
i had to do this to flush my DNS cache under OSX:
to flush the DNS cache in Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6, run this command in Terminal:
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
To do the same in 10.7 and 10.8, run this command:
sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
you need to authenticate with your login password to use sudo.
of course, anyone who can read this post doesn’t need the advice. damn it all to hell.
