I train in Taekwondo, boxing, and grappling (no-gi). I was wondering if you guys think that this combination of arts is a good enough system for the street. We train alive, doing lots of cardio and sparring. Should I stick with the styles that I’m doing now or should I add anything else??

Sure man . You have at it . I just hope you are really Chuck Norris … and the TKD you are taking does full contact sparring .
Otherwise you might be a little disappointed with the results .
Especially if you don’t get plenty of chances to practice all three arts together under limited rules and hard contact .
The school that I train at actually lets us spar using all of the arts together. Its pretty cool how taekwondo can blend in pretty well with boxing and grappling. The kicks are fast and the footwork within tkd is pretty helpful, especially the side steps. Thats why I like watching Dan Hardy…he uses a very effective way of mixing his tkd kicks with his MT.
Sorry I meant American kickboxing. We fight in mma rules sometimes in that we fight with mma gloves, fighting with kicks, knees, punches, elbows, wrestling, and ground fighting with submissions. It can get pretty intense but I love fighting and the toughness that comes with it.
