TKD isnt as bad as wushu , Maybe the people in wushu are more in fit then the tkd person because its gymnastics.

i think we should be carefull to judge each martial art as useless. although i do agree that the only useless martial art is the one you do in front of a TV screen with a controller. we should not be talking about useless martial arts but the effectiveness of promoting healthy people and good conditioning afterall arent the martial arts for everyone not just for the athletically elite?
were not the martial arts derived from farmers protecting themselves?
furthermore shouldn’t we be talking about peoples personal improvement.
I think a class in the history of Chinese martial arts would be of use to some of you.

TKD itself isn’t useless. If you went to Korea, found the right instructor, etc. I think you could learn a lot. Here in the US or Canada though? Haha, don’t count on it!

I voted for Capoeira. I’d hate to spend so much vulnerable time in the air. No grounding, no way to redirect force. And I couldn’t live with the crap haircuts they all seem to have.

Well my limited dialect of the Korean Language Hap means “Coordinate or move”, and Jeet means “quick or fast”, not sure if its about the same, don’t think so though.
I agree with :-)-: its definatley the practioner, you can study any martial art and suck. Is this suppose to mean that the martial art that that person studies is ineffective… i dont think so, that just an ignorant narrowminded way of thinking.
