Having a eight or so year background in karate before discovering kickboxing an dBJJ i am qualified to say that yes, the karate guy is going down almost every time vs MMA/kickboxers/BJJ etc

Second, karate guy wins every time. Seen it happen too many times to fall for the ‘MMA is better that anything in the past’ argument.
MMA has rules and is a sport. They are not prepared for the street. they rely too much on grappling which is difficult on pavement. They do not train for the kinf of mental control neccessary to execute techniques in moments of panic.
