MMA fan takes out Knife weilding pyscho

Joseph Lozito says he was able to handle himself from watching hours of MMA. He is adamit that he is not a MMA fighter just a fan and picked some things up from watching. Scary situation regardless of training level.

It’s like a story I read a long time ago, Short version: A guy got sent to prison he got a book about golf. Everyday he would imagine himself standing on the course playing golf using the diagrams in the book, when he got out of prison he played a perfect game of golf. This might be a fable it might be true. They say that when you go through motions in your mind you send the same signals to your muscles as if you where actually doing the activity.

On the bright side next time your girls moans at you for watching the fights and ignoring her, just explain that it could save your life.

Or more likely, this guy got lucky.

Kata FTW?

I’ll turn in a vote for lucky…nothing wrong with that…in a REAL delf defence stitchy ation…he lived…

that piece of shit he fought off killed 4 other people…fuck trial…kill him! Don’t want that to be missed.

It also probably didn’t hurt that he was 6’2", 270 lbs.

But MMA is a sport and isn’t made for the streets. Especially when someone has a knife!

But like any good RBSD practitioner, he used the skills he picked up while watching videos.

Not a bad story. Kinda scary that there’s no way to predict that level of crazy, and it could happen anywhere. I loved the victims quote: “I hope he hangs himself in jail, I’m a big believer in karma.”

As an aside: Permalost, your post contained such beautiful truth that it was almost poetry. Psycho Dad… I’m pretty sure you have the best avatar here.

So I can do Mind Kata naow?

Randomly searching other news then I read on MMA Junkie that the guy who was the mixed martial arts fan Joe Lozito, met with Dana White, UFC president

Lozito said he learned the moves he used to take down Gelman by watching Ultimate Fighting Championship on television.
