My instructor (the owner of the school) decides to let another instructor (that has no affiliation with us at all) teach a class in our school. (on friday)
the problem…
The "instructor is a 16 year old kid thats a “3rd dan” black belt. -bullshit
The motherfucker teaches dance in our dojo before his karate class. (Im talkin ballet lookin stuff here people!)
He sucks large quantities of ass. (Ive seen him hit the bag, very sloppy)
The students are getting promoted every two months. (1 hour a week of class= 8 classes per promotion.)
I can’t do very much about it. other than suggest and point out his suckiness.
Laugh to yourself. It’s all you can really do. Don’t fuck with the financial side of your school by eliminating a source of income.
Based on many of your previous posts I don’t see that you are really have the temperment, knowledge, or attitude to pass judgement on anyone. Suck it up and worry about yourself.
Um…why is it a problem? It’s a source of income for your school - and it can lead to McDojo kids being intrested in the real classes. This is how I got into Thai, I was doing some cardio shit when I saw the Thai guys training in the background and changed my class to the real thing.
Seriously, relax. This could be a stepping stone for a lot of people to get involved with MMA when they see pics around the gym of fighters. Beating the shit out of this kid won’t do anything but make you look like a bullying faggot and continue the myth of MMA guys being meathead jocks.
Of course, if this guy is talking shit about your class, it’s open season.
Here’s my two cents’ worth – the only thing you can do that potentially has an upside with no downside, is to serve as a good example of what else is possible.
If you have the time, and if you’re allowed to work out on your own in the facility when Sensei Whelp’s students are gathering for class or leaving class, then make it a point to train on your own during that time. Don’t approach anybody, don’t do anything snide, don’t do anything that’s going to distract people during the class. Just work out. Be friendly if you cross paths with anybody, but otherwise act like you’re completely focused on your own thing.
Beat the piss out of the heavy bag. Do alive focus-mitt drills or takedown defenses with a pal. Do a shitload of pushups. Whatever.
Not all of the students will notice, not all who notice will “get it.” But some of them who notice will start to ask themselves “should I be training with that guy?” And so long as you don’t do anything to disrupt the pinhead’s class or overtly “try to steal” his students, there’s probably not a lot he can do about it.
