This fight magazine (not FIGHT magazine, which looks like a good mag), namely Gladiator which must be new since I haven’t heard of it before, has Matt Furey on the cover as the “zen master of the internet”. I have yet to see it at the bookstore and there is no way I am paying $8.95(which includes shipping, gee thanks) to look at this. I tried clcking on his “column” but all of the links go to the same news story so – Has anyone read this mag or see it anywhere?:wbaba2 I am suprised that a seemingly legitmate magazine would have “the Furey” on the cover.
Yeah well, according to this PR the magazine came out in June and Matt Fury is Deputy Editor.

There seem to be 5-10 new magazines out there that all claim to be the source on MMA. Most look very glossy and are full of photos, but I don’t know that I trust any of them. It’ll be interesting to see whether you can market magazines to an MMA audience. In most other endeavors and hobbies, the magazines are trying to hold on to their market share as the internet encroaches. You could argue that the internet played a much bigger part in MMA fandom for years while magazine coverage was nonexistent, so can magazines play catch up?

Shoot, I remember seeing a picture of him all red-faced putting some guy in a headlock, I think he posted it on his website. I had no clue he was the editor though, lol. I wish I could cheat people out of their money and use it to publish my own magazine where I can talk about how smart I am.

I got the last issue with Kipp Kollar NAGA PRESIDENT ON COVER IT IS MORE A GRAPPLING MAGAZINE than MMA Magazine. It`s o.k. kinda high priced.
