We might be looking to do a TD monthly … move the location each time. I have a student who has converted his entire basement into a roll palace so when weather gets bad we can still do it.

I think it would be a blast … we could even field an informal Maryland TD Team and challenge Bullshido TD participants from the nearby States, Pa., Va., DC … start a “Regional Championship” … format … then … across the Nation … and finally … the whole World (That’s for BatRonin MOD. Yo, unfortunatly I gotta pull out. I had 2 amature mma fights last night and my body is completely smacked up.
I’m down with world conquest. It sounds like a good time.

The Throw Down is over!!! I just got back from ground controls house.
I fought a BJJ brown belt 2 times and got beaten very fast. Then i fought ground control and got totally taken down and had to tap out. Then i fought Maverick and won by endurance. Then i fought some other guy and won by endurance. Then i fought the judo guy in a kickboxing match. I got in a few good shots but spent most of the time runnig away every time i got nailed. I gave up due to getting beat up and tired.
Right now my leg is busted (from Maverick), a stubbed toe, and a busted knuckle. It was very auwsome. I’m the tall skinny guy wearing the light blue T-shirt. I was going to fight JFS but was pretty busted up from other fights. Good thing i didn’t fight JFS cuase he is a big guy and would have beatem me down, even though he’s like 50. Maybe next throw down i’ll spar you JFS.
the grapplers pretty much destroyed me.

The guy with long hair took some video. There was also some lady taking video out of the window of ground control’s house.

it was an awesome throw down, went 2 and 1. Lost to a BJJ guy, beat a TKD guy and a Kempo Guy. Food was great, the fights were great. Can’t wait till the next one. Hopefully videos will be up soon.
I’ts good that no one got seriously hurt. I just have tons of little bumps and brusies and stuff. And a sore leg, stubbed toe, stubbed kunckle, bumps on my shins.

I fought 5 people. Lost 3 (to grapplers and a striking Judo guy). won 2 by endurance.

I beg to differ with you … there was 1 major injury … I HAVE … a boo-boo on my butt.
Great time at the MD TD … just told my Wife that next month we are hosting it … guess I’ll be sleeping the Guest room tonight … but it’s going to happen.

If I had to pick one thing that really set the tone for the entire affair it would be this. 2 guys were going at it pretty heavy and 1 of them had a contact lens pop out.
They both stopped while he went and secured his lens … then he returned to mat … got in the exact same position he was in before and let the other guy cinch in his position as well before they resumed. Neither of them attempted to obtain a “more” advantageous position or closed down hold.
That’s training honestly, with integrity, and the right way to go about it … great thing to see.
I think we should redesignate groundcontrolba as “The Human Bulldozer” … seems more fitting I do believe.
Now … back to this tragic boo-boo on my butt thing … John
