Yes, that has been discussed in multiple Shaolin-Do threads.
Not sure if it has been addressed but GrandMaster Ie Chang Ming was Sin’s gradnfather, funny how some things are left out when he tells his story…lol
Instead of bumping every shaolin-do thread you can find read them first.

Well I am not really sure what you mean by “bumping” Sir…I was only making a point like yourself… I am so sorry that I have an oppinion like yourself and wished to share it.
Every thread you have posted in is at least a year and a half to two years old. Apparently, you need to read the rules of the website and learn WHERE to share your opinion.
WTF?!?
Is the site bugged or something? Because I JUST got the following notification:
Dear MichaelDescado,
BandoTiger has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Getting to the bottom of Shaolin-do - in the Bullshido Classics and Mega Threads forum of No BS MMA and Martial Arts.

Seems like the last reply to this thread was over two years ago. So… WTF?!?

Listen up, Troll Kid. You can comment on any older post and you should ONLY if you have something interesting and new to say. You don’t.
And… stop… typing… like an idiot…
You know for “Martial Artist” you guys sure have a lot disrespect for others…makes one really wonder.
Yet “LOLing” at Sin, Ie, Sharon and David is respectful?
I know you are a Traditional Martial Artist, because you have the hypocrisy down perfectly.
Know I laughed at the shrine and how it was paid an bought by the Soards…and at the idea people where told diffrently…Sir…not at Master Sin…please get your facts striaght
Bando Tiger,
Welcome to the site.
Can you give us/me some information on your Bando training?
I know nothing other than from reading decades ago in a magazine. Perhaps it was Black Belt. The founder was a soldier from Burma in WWII I think.
I understand it is based on animal styles and body types.
Does the student learn basics and then decide on an area of focus?
Don’t mind these folks. This is what Bullshido is about. Thick skin and hard training. Besides, they are all known members who question any art not known for alive training. Skeptics are a dime a dozen here, but IiF, battlefields and Matt are known trouble makers.
Stop calling me a keyboard warrior, hungrybro. Especially in front of the n00bs. United front and all. Geez.
Yes Sir,
I trained under Alan R Thompson…yes it contains animal forms as well as weapon training. The training depends on the instructor or style he teaches. Also I am aware of all the charges and alligactions raised against Mr. Gyi if that is the point you wanting to add.
I studied with Mr. Thompson for 5 years until his death, althought he was heavy into Tiger system…he did teach many other animal forms.

I am less concerned about allegations than training methods. The fact that Bando focuses (in more advanced training) on a persons physical makeup appeals to me. In some ways to Bruce Lee’s teachings of making an art your own.
Does this make sense?
When does a student begin to focus on the art based on his/her physical and psychological strengths?
Is the training of unarmed combat for real or is it all static (you do this, I do that)?
