lima lama is actually a very destructive martial arts. it branched off lua, wich was one of the samoan forms of “dead martial arts” that are being revived. Lua was known as the polynisian art of bone breaking. in lima lama Everything you learn goes striaght into dislocations, locks, holds. that sort of stuff. The videos on youtube dont really show it off.
like someone said up there, there are several lua schools but you have to have a nice backround to be excepted. i know theres a few in california andi know theres one in chicago. And most of the guys in lua have taken lima lama first.
i am actually a student in lima lama. ha and in green bay to be exact. it is a great style and very universial. You learn alot fast about the weights it takes to dislocate and the different pressure points and there are some cool techniques i never heard of before. It teaches you how to be relaxed but ready to fight. and the relaxing part is hard but once you get it, its a great asset. i dont quite have it yet.
of course it doesn’t…thanks for the thread necros.
Now, I did this because you can replace the blanks with any Martial art. Even respected arts. watch
