Okay let’s REALLY put on the nerd caps here. This is a timeless question that’ll go down the bowels of history, because the answer can not be supported by examples, but rather a very thought-out analyzation of each individual.
In a hand to hand battle, using whatever weapons are available to them in their respective fields of literature, who would win in a deathmatch World Champion bout?
Dementor, sworn guardians of Azkaban, the deepest and darkest prison of the world of Harry Potter. The most vile and powerful of Wizards are sent there and guarded by these powerful and deadly guards.

The Nazghul, a powerful and mighty rider of Sauron. They are known as the Ringwraiths amongst other names. Indestructible by the hands of a man and service the witch king and Sauron. They posess the abilities of the dark that they were once given and strike fear into the hearts of man.
I think that the Ringwraiths would pwninate the Dementors.
- Dementors are scared away by a flashlight.
- Ringwraiths can get a torch to the face, fall off a mountain and get washed away to sea and still come back and throw it down.
- The only thing that they can be defeated by is a cross-dressing woman who can’t properly hold a sword correctly and throws in a cheap shot.
- They don’t have souls, so the dementors can’t do shit.
- Big ass sword.

Well the nazgul probably went though some really horrible stuff in the transformation to nazgul, and in service of Sauron. The slipping into the twilight realm cannot be pleasent for any entity. Since the dementors affect their prey proportionally to the horrors that they went through, I’d say that gives the dementor a strong weapon. The dementor’s weakness is that petronas charm spell, and the nazgul don’t have the ability to conjure anything of that nature (Gandalf’s Istari Light that he uses to drive away the nazgul in Return of the King at Gondor is probably the closest manifestation in the Tolkien universe), that takes away a primary weapon against the dementors. Coincidently, the fact that a light spell of that nature drives both nazgul and dementor away might give a clue as to the similarities of nazguls and dementors, but that’s for another thread. As for other weapons, the ambient cold aura around the dementor will likely have a negligable effect on the nazgul, but it could possibly distract their mounts. And also add the fact that the dementors can fly without the aid of mounts gives them a mobility advantage. Nazgul blades, although magical, would likely have very little effect on a dementor. Given that this battle is between a typical dementor and a typical nazgul, it’s likely that no unique sorcerous powers will be brought to bear (the Witch King does control more powers than the nazgul he commands)

Nazgull have:
Magical weapons
they ride horses or giant winged lizards
they where armor
they know how to fight
The dementors have:
some kind of mouth from wich they steal the souls of living things
a fear-inspiring aura
bad breath
